Polls show that "uninformed" Americans overwhelmingly support the unaffordable Affordable Care Act.

This is not about medical insurance or health care, it’s about one thing, Power & Control (okay… 2 things)

Why else would government prohibit insurance companies from pooling risks, lowering costs, and covering more people? – (1:10 mark)

Why else would certain factions of our government prevent tort reform?

Obamacare Summed Up In One Sentence

Obamacare Facts & Figures

Obamacare expands government's role as the primary payer of health care by adding 18 million people to the Medicaid program, which on average reimburses doctors only 56 percent of the market rate for medical procedures.

Due to increased regulation and less reimbursement, 66 percent of doctors are considering no longer accepting government health programs.

Nearly one-quarter of all seniors rely on Medicare Advantage, the private health care option in Medicare. However, Obamacare makes such deep cuts to that program that half of those covered will no longer be able to keep the coverage they have.

New taxes on drug companies ($27 billion) and medical device makers ($20 billion), as well as new reporting requirements and regulations imposed on physicians, will make access to health care and services more costly and difficult for seniors under Obamacare.

$52 billion in new taxes will be imposed on businesses by mandating that employers provide health insurance.

On February 10, 2011, CBO Director Doug Elmendorf testified before the House Budget Committee that Obamacare will result in an estimated 800,000 fewer U.S. jobs.

By 2019, over 80 million people will be on the Medicaid program—requiring billions of dollars from state budgets and taxpayers.

Twenty-one State Attorneys General have filed suits to protect their citizens from being forced, in violation of the Constitution, to purchase government-approved health insurance.

Obamacare adds a trillion dollars in new health care spending, expanding prohibitively expensive entitlements and creating a subsidy scheme that discourages work and penalizes marriage.

New Obamacare spending includes $125 million per year for school-based health centers and a new program to reduce teen pregnancy, with no requirement to reduce abortions.

16,500 more IRS agents needed to enforce Obamacare -
New tax mandates and penalties included in Obamacare will cause the greatest expansion of the Internal Revenue Service since World War II!

Scores of new federal mandates and fifteen different tax increases totaling $400 billion are imposed under the Democratic House bill. In addition to more complicated tax returns, families and small businesses will be forced to reveal further tax information to the IRS, provide proof of 'government approved' health care and submit detailed sales information to comply with new excise taxes.

Isn't it reassuring that at a time of recession, government will do what's necessary to ensure its growth.

California: Obamacare Turning Cancer Patients Away

"The Los Angeles Times reports that once Obamacare customers navigate the confusing websites and pay the (often higher) premiums, they face a new problem: many doctors do not accept Obamacare insurance policies. It tells the story of a cancer patient who was turned away at the oncologist's office, and was only seen by a doctor once state regulators came to her rescue. Her story is not alone: millions will face the same problem.

There are two reasons patients will be turned away: one that President Barack Obama hid, and one that he lied about. The first is that there is a shortage of doctors. There simply are not enough doctors (or nurses) to see a population of patients that grows bigger, suddenly, by some 30 million people (in theory). The second reason: insurance companies have to cut certain doctors and hospitals out of their plans in order to keep prices within a reasonable range while still covering all the things the law requires. So you can't necessarily "keep your doctor."

The LA Times' story about a cancer patient is particularly ironic, considering that Obama used cancer as a prop to sell the legislation--both to tout the law's coverage for pre-existing conditions, and to tell misleading stories about how his own mother was abandoned by insurance companies when she was being treated for cancer.

As the Washington Examiner and Breitbart News reported last December, as many as 70% of California doctors will not participate in Obamacare. That is a reality many patients are discovering as they lose insurance policies they once enjoyed and discover that the doctors in their new Covered California policies are little more than "phantom networks." They are victims of Obamacare's cost controls--and they are finding out "what's in it." Joel B. Pollack/Breitbart.com (2/5/14)

Debunking The Defund Obamacare Myths

The Heritage Foundation's Chris Jacobs takes a look at some of the myths about defunding Obamacare, and then debunks them.

Myth #1: Congress cannot defund Obamacare.

Congress defunds mandatory spending on appropriations bills every year. In fact, it has even defunded part of Obamacare already—billions of dollars in “mandatory spending” for the co-op program.

>>> See our fact sheet: Can Appropriations Bills Defund Obamacare?

Myth #2: Obamacare opponents are trying to shut down the government.

This isn’t true, either.

As Heritage health care expert Chris Jacobs says in the video above, “Conservatives want to keep the federal government open—we just want to shut down Obamacare.”

Legal expert Hans von Spakovsky explains how this could be done. Funding the federal government—with the exception of Obamacare—“would force the President and his supporters to explain why they would shut down the government to fund an unfair, unaffordable, and highly unpopular law that is so unworkable that the Administration has itself admitted it cannot manage to implement major portions on time such as the employer mandate to provide insurance.”

The name given to this legislative act, "The Affordable Care Act", is a misnomer in every sense of the word, and that is no MYTH!

Judge Napolitano: 'Nixon, Clinton Lies Are So Insignificant Compared To Obama's Health Plan Lie'

According to Judge Napolitano, President Obama's lie is the most egregious. "Richard Nixon told a lie about his personal knowledge of a third-rate break-in, burglary. Bill Clinton told a lie about a personal sexual liaison. Barack Obama has told a lie repeatedly, readily, consistently, systematically, over and over again that will affect the wealth, the health of millions of innocent Americans. The first two [...] are so insignificant compared to these lies." Eduardo89rp (11/7/13)

"The President was either flat out ignorant of how the new health care program would impact people’s insurance premiums, or he flat out lied over and over to the American people. Take your pick. There aren’t too many other possibilities, and it’s hard to figure which is worse.

I take that back. Calculated deception is worse that bone headed ignorance. And I don’t think ignorance is what were are dealing with here.

The President knew that Obamacare would be repealed if the American people knew they were going to lose their health coverage and that premiums would skyrocket. Sebelius knew this. The whole White House team knew. Pelosi knew. A good part of the media knew.

But Obamacare was such an opportunity for the government to take over a large swathe of the economy (in partnership with the large health insurance companies – at least initially) that the president’s crew in the White House and beyond felt ,”The truth be damned. One way or another, we are doing this.”

At least that’s what I think they probably thought.

Obamacare Broken Promises Montage

Obamacare Dismantled in Less Than Five Minutes
http://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenson/2014/02/05/video-obamacare-dismantled-in-less-than-five-minutes-n1789868

"The product is good," President Obama intoned during a bizarrely triumphal Rose Garden photo-op three short weeks into the Obamacare roll-out debacle. "It's high quality, and it's affordable," he said, adding that early participants were "thrilled" with the results. Just prior to departing for his Hawaiian Christmas escape in December -- amidst roiling controversies suffocating his signature program -- Obama pronounced the law "working." And on Super Bowl Sunday, he assured Bill O'Reilly that Obamacare's much maligned web system is functioning "the way it's supposed to." What to make of these assertions? Is the president so out of touch that he believes them to be true, or is he putting on a brave face to defend an historic technological and policy failure that bears his name? Democrats have made endless promises to the public throughout the healthcare debate, the highest profile of which haven't panned out -- which is why the law remains deeply unpopular. Conservatives predicted nearly every one of these betrayals, often with remarkable precision. The law is a mess that has shattered the well-known pledges upon which was sold. Its authors and defenders lack credibility. And the new policy is hurting real people. What follows is a digestible, but by no means comprehensive, video dissection of Obamacare, using only supporters' words, press accounts, and testimonials from impacted citizens.

Many thanks to my colleagues Emily Bruce, Sarah Jean Seman and Feven Amenu for their assistance in producing this compilation, a task that spanned hours." Guy Benson/TownHall.com (2/5/14)

Obamacare: Broken Promises

"During the debate over Obamacare, Democrats and the president claimed that the law would lower health care costs, create hundreds of thousands of jobs, protect Medicare, and allow Americans to keep their health care plans. Two years later, it's clear that not one of those promises will be kept. Instead, the health care law will drive up families' premiums by more than $2,000, force cash-strapped state governments to shoulder more than $100 billion in new Medicaid costs, take more than half a trillion dollars from Medicare, and encourage employers to drop health care coverage for up to 35 million Americans. And far from creating jobs, the health care law will actually result in 800,000 fewer jobs over the next decade. It's time to repeal Obamacare and replace it with commonsense, step-by-step reforms that will actually lower costs." RepublicanSenators (3/22/12)

New Gruber Video: Voters ‘Too Stupid to Understand the Difference’

"Fox News’ Megyn Kelly tonight aired more unearthed video of Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber saying that “the American voters are too stupid to understand the difference” on the language of the law.

Gruber had said last year that a “lack of transparency” and “the stupidity of the American voter” helped the law get passed. Gruber admitted today that was inappropriate and insisted it was just an off-the-cuff mistake.

Kelly teed up the new clip (a five-second soundbite during a speech Gruber gave last year) by saying he was explaining how Democrats “played with the language of the Obamacare law.”

Yet Another Video of Obamacare Architect Jonathan Gruber Is Making the Rounds — This Time He Brags About a ‘Dirty Secret’
http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/11/13/yet-another-video-of-obamacare-architect-jonathan-gruber-is-making-the-rounds-this-time-he-brags-about-a-dirty-secret/

Ever since video emerged of Obamacare “architect” Jonathan Gruber bragging that the “stupidity of the American voter” helped get Obamacare passed, the MIT professor’s past statements have been under intense scrutiny.

Yet another video emerged on Thursday showing Gruber bragging about the “dirty secret in Massachusetts” at a Noblis Technology event in 2012.

“The dirty secret in Massachusetts is the feds paid for our bill, OK? In Massachusetts, we had a very powerful Senator you may know. His name is Ted Kennedy,” Gruber said. “Ted Kennedy had basically figured out – Ted Kennedy and smart people in Massachusetts -  had figured out a way to rip off the Feds for $400 million a year.”

He went on to explain that the Bush administration planned to cut off the funds, but former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney went to the administration and worked some magic.

“The Romney administration, to their credit, went to the Bush administration and said, ‘Wait a second, if we can keep this money and use it to cover the uninsured, will you let us keep it?’ The Bush administration, to its credit, said, ‘sure.’ And that became the financial basis for our transformation in Massachusetts,” Gruber added.

He admitted the federal health care law is much more “ambitious” because there is no bigger government to offer millions of dollars to help pay for it.

Obama Caught Red Handed

"More video has surfaced of MIT Professor and ACA Architect Jonathan Gruber explaining the necessity for underhanded tactics to get Obamacare passed. The damage control unleashed by the democrats has only spotlighted their tendency to lie to “The American Public”. If Benghazi, The IRS targeting political adversaries, The surveillance of journalists, The Bin Laden Hoax, The NSA growing exponentially, and your elderly family members placed on Death Panels didn’t get you outraged… Then this collection of bold faced lies instigated in the past few days should get any American’s blood boiling. Regardless of where you stand on the aisle." TheAlexJonesChannel (11/17/14)

The End Of The Beginning

"You aint seen nothin' yet. Its been almost a year since Obama gave his second inaugural, and this year has finally demonstrated to most people that he was a horrible choice for our country. The economy is in the slumps, and our healthcare system is in shambles. Voters might want to take note, and realize that Bill Whittle, and those like him, weren't racist nor extremist--they were trying to save us from ruin." PJ Media (12/19/13)

Obamacare Architect: Public Was Misled - Gruber: Americans Too Stupid For Truth - The Kelly File

"Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber said that lack of transparency was a major part of getting Obamacare passed because “the stupidity of the American voter” would have killed the law if more people knew what was in it.

Gruber, the MIT professor who served as a technical consultant to the Obama administration during Obamacare’s design, also made clear during a panel quietly captured on video that the individual mandate, which was only upheld by the Supreme Court because it was a tax, was not actually a tax.

“This bill was written in a tortured way to make sure CBO did not score the mandate as taxes. If CBO scored the mandate as taxes, the bill dies. Okay, so it’s written to do that. In terms of risk rated subsidies, if you had a law which said that healthy people are going to pay in – you made explicit healthy people pay in and sick people get money, it would not have passed… Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage. And basically, call it the stupidity of the American voter or whatever, but basically that was really really critical for the thing to pass… Look, I wish Mark was right that we could make it all transparent, but I’d rather have this law than not.” Saving America (11/12/14)

Who's Jonathan Gruber?

"You have already drawn some of the brightest minds from academia and policy circles, many of them I have stolen ideas from liberally, people ranging from Robert Gordon to Austan Goolsbee; Jon Gruber; my dear friend, Jim Wallis here, who can inform what are sometimes dry policy debates with a prophetic voice."

President Barack Obama and a long list of Democrats are now arguing that MIT economist Jonathan Gruber wasn't intimately involved in the design of Obamacare.

Lies About Obamacre: Are You Really Surprised?

Before last week, you had probably never heard of Jonathan Gruber.

Gruber is the MIT economist who was once considered to be the intellectual architect behind Obamacare.

Nancy Pelosi now says he had nothing to do with Obamacare. But back in 2009 she was quoting him publically and endorsing his published opinions on the matter.

In any event, you have now heard about him because a series of videos have surfaced in which he candidly declares that the legislation was written in a way that was designed to deceive the American people and to exploit “the stupidity of the American voter”.

Gruber was very pleased, and pleased with himself apparently, that he and his cronies were able to fool us all. It was for our own good, of course that they did it.

You see, in the liberal mind, the progressive agenda is good for Americans but Americans are just too dense to see it as clearly as liberals do. Liberals are therefore reluctant to let the rest of..." TheAmericanView (11/18/14)

Surviving The Medical Meltdown: Your Guide To Living Through The Disaster Of Obamacare

"Government health care has never in the history of the world, anywhere, delivered the same quality of medical care as has the free market. As we have lost the battle for competitive health care, today we are traveling along the path to a centrally controlled Soviet-style system that means doctor shortages, limited availability of procedures, scarcity of specialized drugs, long wait times, and an overall increased cost for a decreased quality of our healthcare.  Over half of the surgeons who cover emergency rooms are over fifty years old. Many are retiring early; many are dramatically reducing their patient load. And the new regulations required by Obamacare are only making this much worse. You need to be medically prepared.

Surviving the Medical Meltdown is a guide to preparing you and your household to prevent and deal with a multitude of medical issues. It explains how we got in this situation, tells how to plan ahead when doctors and insurance aren't there to help, offers the latest medical breakthroughs so you can best maintain good health, and provides a home care handbook full of health tips for everything from rashes and fevers to fractures and chest pain. It will help you prepare for a future where immediate access to the modern medical care of today is simply not available." – Amazon.com
